Today I had a very interesting customer, who are very interested in our steam car wash machine.
The first question he asked about is what your warranty is. I said, one year warranty. He seems to be unpleased, and told me that he has done lots of research in this field; the other commercial steamers on the market have lifetime warranty and 5-10 years on every thing else. Moreover, he gave me some names of these companies.
I checked one of them, and they did mentioned that they will have a 3 years warranty and other warranty terms. So I replied my customer that I don’t know this company but I have to admire their courage to supply this courage.
Then my customer said does that mean I am not confident with our quality, so I cannot give a lifetime warranty.
I don’t know what should I say, after seconds thinking, I replied with an example, if you buy a car, and they don’t give you a lifetime warranty( so far as I know, all the car manufacturers don’t give a lifetime warranty), then you will question their cars and won’t buy it?
Finally, he asked the price, and I told him, he never reply.
So when you really buy something, here is some advice:
1. Why you buy it?
2. What functions you want to have?
3. What the price can be accepted?
This customer has researched the steam car wash machine for 3~4 years without any movement, and maybe during these times, he has lost more than he got.
